Electrician Schools in Philadelphia

Electricians are one of the few skilled careers that do not require a college degree.  Certificate and diploma course are offered, and electrical engineering studies are common.  But to qualify for an electrician’s license, it is necessary to apprentice with a certified master electrician for a period of four to five years.  This training serves to teach the student the needed skills, including safety precautions and building laws at the local, national, and state level.  They also learn how to repair, inspect, install, maintain, and test the wiring in many kinds of buildings, from small homes to multi-level office complexes.
