Dental Technician Schools in Philadelphia

 

There are many ways in which dental technicians (also called dental assistants) assist a dentist.  They may seat patients and talk with them, help out in the front desk, clean rooms and sterilize equipment, schedule patients, and complete paperwork.  Most familiar, of course, is the chairside dental assistant, who works with the dentist during an appointment.  Many jobs in this field require a certificate or an associate’s degree.  Dental technicians can also be trained on the job or by a vocational school.  Those with several years of work experience may choose to take an exam that certifies their skills and can lead to higher-paying jobs.
